2. Etsy Seller

When looking for work at home jobs for moms, this is definitely one to consider. I have a lot of friends who have turned their side gig into a full-time business!

3. Blogger

Blogging is a great way to make an income while staying at home and it’s one of the best work at home jobs for moms! I honestly wish I would have started a blog sooner. Maybe I would have never had to get a 9-5 — who knows! Here are some blogging resources that I love and have helped me group my blog.

How To Start A Blog

Building A Framework — Abby from Just A Girl And Her Blog is an amazing blogger and she made $50,000 in October 2016. This has been a game changer for me!

Pinteresting Strategies — Pinterest is quickly becoming the top source of traffic for many blogger so it’s an understatement to say that you want to be on Pinterest and do it right. This book has strategies that I promise you won’t find elsewhere.

I also started a Facebook group where I share tricks and tips to making a full time income while you work from home with your kids! Click below to join.

4. Baking

Do you love baking? Put your talents to good use by starting yourself a little Facebook page and start telling your friends! If you can become the go to for birthday parties, graduation parties, etc, baking could be a great little side-gig for you — and possibly a full time work at home job!

5. Child Care

When I first quit my job, I started watching a friend’s baby to make a little extra money. I’ve also been approached by more people than I can count to ask if I could watch their kids! Even if you are just an acquaintance of someone, believe me, they would rather someone they know watch their child than a stranger. In my experience, there is a lack of good child care options so if you love kids, this could be a great option.

6. Copywriter

If you always have the best comebacks or can convince anyone to do anything, copywriting might be for you! Anything you see on magazines, billboards, or on commercials were written by copywriters.

7. Direct Sales

I’ll get more into specific opportunities at a later time on the blog, but I have a ton of mom friends who are consultants for various companies (Rodan & Fields, Usborne Books, Essential Oils, etc). A lot of them are making a great chunk of change! Don’t automatically rule out direct sales — but do your research first.

8. Editor

Are you a grammar nazi? Do you cringe when you see a mistake published? Becoming an editor might be a great job for you! Facebook groups are going to be a great way to find editing jobs as a lot of fellow bloggers and business owners need editors.

9. Graphic Designer

Do fonts and boldface type excite you? Graphic Design is a way to visually communicate with people; it could be through a poster, an advertisement in a magazine, a website, a business logo, a greeting card or even an album cover, these are all examples of what graphic designers create.

10. Hairdresser/Hair Stylist

If you have previous experience as a hair dresser, you can definitely start working from home! I have friends who have salon chairs in their house and they do hair from home. If you have the right skills, this could be a great option for you. Consider this one when looking for work at home jobs for moms.

11. Photographer

So working as a photographer is not completely from home. But it’s pretty flexible and I have a ton of mom friends who are photographers, so I thought I would include it on the list. If you don’t know much about photography, you could take some classes and get equipment. Start a Facebook page and advertise away!

12. Social Media Manager

I also started my own digital communications business. One of the services we offer is Social Media Management. There is some training that is required to be a good Social Media Manager. But it’s totally doable and not expensive either. More and more people are realizing they need a Social Media Manager in order to grow their business — so now is a great time to become a SMM!

13. Surveys

This won’t make you rich, but it’s enough to pay a bill or two a month. Here are some companies:

American Consumer Opinion, Swagbucks, Survey Junkie, and Panel Bucks.

14. Translator

While I always wanted to be doing writing of some sort, my backup job was a translator. I was born and raised in Hawaii and Japanese is usually one of the languages in high school. I also went to Japan for a summer after high school too. Hawaii gets a lot of Japanese visitors, so I always thought it would be great to be a translator!

But you don’t have to leave the house in order to be a translator! There are a lot of people who need documents translated and everything can be done from the comfort of your own home!

15. Tutoring

I was a tutor in college. I loved writing, and it paid more than any other job on campus so it was a perfect fit. I have actually had several professors or acquaintances email me since college needing a tutor — so make sure you always make a good impression on people!

But it doesn’t just have to be writing. You can be a tutor for any subject!

16. Virtual Assistant

I know I said this a lot — but I was also a virtual assistant to make some extra money from home! I didn’t love it, but I loved that it was something I could do from home while my kids napped. It might be a good place to start, or you might find that you love it.

People use virtual assistants for everything — manage email box, help with blog tasks, make phone calls, etc. And you might have specific skills that will help you get the edge over other VAs. For example, did you used to work in a real estate office? Many real estate agents are looking for a VA and would value someone with your knowledge. What skills do you have that could help you as a VA?

17. Writing

Surprise, surprise, I am also a writer! Being a freelance writer is one of my favorite jobs. Most of my jobs were found on Facebook groups! That’s right. Start joining blogging groups, writing groups, job groups, etc. People like to post in their own community first so there’s a good chance you could get a job that isn’t even going to be posted. Problogger is also where I’ve gotten a lot of writing jobs and other work at home jobs for moms.

If I can make a full time income working from home (part-time), so can you. Take a look at some of these work at home jobs for moms and see if there a way for you to start making money today!
